Molecular Diagnostic Testing: Principles and Practice

This program provides an overview of the central dogma of genetics, heredity patterns and mutations that can cause disease, as well as common molecular diagnostic techniques and instrumentation.

HPV 16 & 18 Genotyping: Rationale and Value in Patient Management

This course reviews the relationship of specific HPV genotypes to cervical cancer and its precursors, including ASC-US, CIN1, CIN2 and CIN3. Additionally, relevant ASCCP practice guidelines are reviewed. Finally, HPV genotyping is discussed, with a focus on types 16 and 18, known to be particularly oncogenic and persistent.
