Applications
UGT1A1
The InvaderŪ UGT1A1 Molecular Assay is the first in vitro diagnostic pharmacogenetic test using the Invader Chemistry. The test determines the UGT1A1 *28 genotype as recommended in the label for the chemotherapeutic drug irinotecan, which is approved as a first-line therapy for metastatic colorectal cancer1. Patients with a heterozygous-deficient *1 / *28 genotype or homozygous-deficient *28 / *28 genotype have greater risk for severe toxicity when treated with irinotecan therapy.2,3
Labs running the Invader UGT1A1 Molecular Assay enjoy the following benefits4:
- 100% accurate as compared to bi-directional sequencing of 285 clinical samples.4
- 98% reproducibility in a multi-center clinical study.4
- Minimal Hands-On Time (<2 hours, including DNA isolation).
